Sonja Taylor-Jones studied jewellery design in Bristol but in recent years has found a new lover working with clay and colour. These vessels are inspired by the British coast with birds wheeling through clear blue skies and also of what lies beneath the waves.
Their form is reminiscent of found objets that have spend years hidden in the wreck of a tea clipper or schooner that met ints end in a treacherous storm at sea. As a reminder of her love for working with precious metal, each vessel has one bird gilded with 24 carat gold leaf.
