Collection: Sophie Capron

Abstract painter Sophie Capron, studied at Winchester School of Art. During her degree, she embarked on a transformative period of study in Japan – an experience that infused her work with cultural nuances. later Sophie accepted for a residency with Picture Berlin.  Her work is inspired by the erosion of our urban environment, and the relationship between humans and nature, building up sgraffito mark making into layers of recycled paint to reference this. Through her art, she explores the delicate balance between human impact and nature’s resilience.
