Sonja Taylor-Jones studied jewellery design in Bristol but in recent years has found a new love for working with clay and colour. These vessels are inspired by the British coast with birds wheeling through clear blue skies and also of what can lies beneath the seas. Their form is reminiscent of found objects that have spent years hidden in a wreck of a tea clipper or schooner that met its end in a trecherous storm. As a reminder of her love working with precious metal, each vessel has one bird gilded with 24 carat gold leaf.
