I have produced two images based on the dramatic histories of the Goodwin Sands. The Goodwin Sands are the final resting place of hundreds of vessels and occasionally anonymous parts of their wrecks wash out on the Kent coast.

“Deadeye and Blocks” features the eponymous wooden artefacts from the rigging of sailing vessels. They were all found on Sandwich Bay. The floral arrangements are based on the pared down colour range of the Quicksand rose and inspired by baroque Flemish still life paintings.
