Susannah Preston graduated from Winchester School of Art in 1978 with a First Class Honours Degree in fine art. She has since worked on a variety of projects, community artwork, private commissions, illustration work for BBC2 and HTV and NatWest Bank.
Taylor-Jones & Son hold an ongoing body of work "Demesne" in which Preston's explores an imagined Kentish Estate lost to the unseeing world just after WW1. The estate speaks of an ancient connection to a more pagan understanding of the countryside that has been lost in modern times. The work reflects the great painters of the 1920's and 30's like Ravilious but with a 21st Century lilt.
