Michele Turriani's 'Early June' - selected for the RA Summer Exhibition
Royal Academy Summer Exhibition
Congratulations to Carol Robertson, Michele Turriani and Max Angus who have all had work accepted into this year's Royal Academy Summer Exhibition.
The Summer Exhibition opened for the first time in 1769 as a place where members of the Academy could exhibit their works with one another to compare and improve their skills. Today it is the largest open submission art exhibition in the world, which means that any artist can submit their work, regardless of age, country or status in the art world. This year, more than 11,000 people submitted work but less than 10% were successful so our three artists really do deserve.

Richard Friend's 'Morning Sun' - one of several new pieces
New In - Richard Friend
Blue skies are here at last and this brand new painting from Richard Friend, 'Morning Sun', has its very own glorious blue sky. It depicts that perfect time of year when the sky is cool and clear, the trees are abundant and the grass is green. At 40 x 40cm it's a neat size for a spare space on a wall. We also have some other new pieces by Richard Friend, available to view on the website as well as in the gallery.
