Nellephant, Charming Baker, screenprint on hand painted background. |
|
Charming Baker is in the house!
As we move into the autumn and feel the first chill in the air, it seems the perfect time to move to darker colours and cosiness. Nellephant by Charming Baker fits the bill. This 21 colour screenprint with a hand painted background, is airbrushed ink and graphite on 6mm Birch Plywood and what makes it really cosy is its velvety flocked background. Since the early 2000s Charming Baker has been one of the best known names in the contemporary British art world. His work explores the human condition and our complex emotions. Baker's solo exhibitions include the Truman Brewery, Redchurch Street Gallery, New York Studio Gallery NYC 2010, Mercer Street London and Milk Studios LA amongst others. He has also collaborated with Sir Paul Smith for a sculpture entitled ‘Triumph in the Face of Absurdity’ which was displayed at the Victoria and Albert Museum and his work is found in many collections world-wide. We're delighted to offer this very well known and collectable piece for sale on the secondary market and an unbeatable price.

Hard Rock, Christine Hodson, mixed media on card |
|
We have seen a flurry of sales this summer for Hodson and had only one original cliff painting left in the gallery. So we're are delighted to say she has been hard at work to produce this beauty. It harks back to her earlier work with the vibrant pinks returning to her colour palette. These signature landscape pieces continue to be her most sought after work. and its really no wonder. These iconic cliffs are as breath taking as ever and the perfect destination for an Autumn stroll if you are out and about this September. |
