Collection: Clive Johnston

Clive Johnston is a London based multidisciplinary artist, illustrator, and printmaker with 20 years’ experience working in the design industry. He has an MA from the London College of Communication.

His work revolves around themes of popular culture, cinema, music, and nature, and is fuelled by a passion for bold, graphic, colourful design with the dynamism of comic-books and street art.

Johnston’s creative origins are very much grounded in illustration, design and typography. He draws from a wide range of styles including mid-century graphic design and advertising campaigns, to comic-strip heroes, 1980s New York subway hip-hop graffiti, and vernacular signage, lettering and imagery.
